If you’re reading this I just want to say thank you for caring about me and my small business! It has been quite the journey to get here, and I’m so excited to share this piece of my life with you.
The beginning of my photography journey started with a desire to create art. I don’t think that was my original intent, but looking back that is exactly what I set out to do. I didn’t take an interest in just any photography subject though; I tried my hand at still lifes and landscapes and though it was fun I was always most passionate about portraiture. Humans have always been my favorite subject! I have always loved taking photos of people and capturing movement and emotion, and I realize now that the reason I have stayed so fixated on people is because I think everyone is beautiful.
No really! It sounds so cliché but I have always loved photographing different subjects. Everyone is so unique in their looks and the way that they emote, and I want everyone to see what I see.
That being said, my hope for your session is that you are able to see your own beauty. I already see it, and if you’ve worked with me you know I have a hard time not getting excited about a photo! I am always telling my subject how stunning they are, and I’m not just doing that to boost your confidence (though I hope that’s what it does!). I just can’t contain the happiness I feel in photographing people. I love my job because I get to work with the most beautiful people, inside and out.
My goal is to make you feel comfortable and in your element during your shoot. I know it’s hard to be in front of the camera, especially because we are our own worst critics. I want to encourage you to embrace the experience of being photographed, and when you look at your photos, I want you to choose a feature that you find beautiful. It’s hard work not to pick apart your appearance- but I guarantee you that what I and your friends and family see isn’t your flaws. We see a smile that lights up a room and eyes that reflect your personality.
My biggest joy within my business does not lie in how much money I make or how many clients I get. What I love most is connecting with people, sharing in celebrating your life, and making you feel beautiful. When clients tell me that their photographs make them feel confident it makes my day! I can’t wait for the future and all of the photos that I have yet to take.
